Beschreibung
The background of this thesis is provided by the need for lead-free piezoceramics. This task lead to the development of a high throughput screening method for the characterization of ferroelectric thin films, to the investigation of the nanoscale properties of lead-free ferroelectric ceramics by imaging and analysis of their ferroelectric domain structures and, synthesis and characterization of barium copper tungstate under special consideration of its ferroelectric properties. The main tool for all investigations was the scanning probe microscopy and utilization of its various techniques.
